It's back, everyone. We thought we'd re-institute Weather Wednesday, just to let you know how wonderfully Fall-like our weather has become. You know you've lived in Oman too long when you walk out in the morning, the temperature is 85 degrees with relatively little humidity, and you say, "It's chilly this morning!" Then, later on in the day, when it's 97 degrees and there's a warm breeze blowing from the mountains you exclaim, "I think it's finally Fall!"
Well, we're there. We've had some lovely Fall weather lately, dipping down to 70 degrees at night and just 95 in the heat of the day. The kicker is that the humidity is leaving us, which can make almost any temperature bearable. (It's really not the heat, it's the humidity.) People are busting out their long sleeved shirts and even wearing jeans without being too uncomfortable. We're not quite ready to wear the sweaters and fleeces, but we can sense that time should be right around the corner. Now if only our Starbucks would serve a Pumpkin Spice Latte. THEN, it would be Fall.
We have a morning full of soccer tomorrow--8:30 game for Nick, 9:00 and 11:30 for Grace. We'll see how the weather treats us tomorrow out in that sun.
